Real clinic, not a campus course.
Most summer medical programmes are lectures on a campus. This puts students inside a working London clinic, with real patient contact, consultant teaching, structured reflection and supervised residential support.

Students learn from consultants who train junior doctors at top NHS teaching hospitals, including The Royal Marsden, St George's, King's College Hospital, Guy's & St Thomas', the Royal London and the Whittington.

Hands-on every day
Every morning is a two-hour clinic block in small groups of 3–5. Every afternoon includes practical skills, simulation and workshops. There are no passive days.

Before you fly: Fraser's prep workshop
An online session with the Fraser's Medical team before travel: what to expect at LIPS, how to make the most of clinic days, and how to capture the experience for UCAS and interviews.
Day 1: Welcome to Medical Excellence
Arrivals from 14:00, LIPS founders’ welcome, LIPS tour, safeguarding briefing, welcome dinner and the “Why Medicine?” circle.
Day 2: Future in Healthcare
Morning clinic orientation in groups of 3–5 across consultation rooms, imaging and pharmacy. Design-thinking capstone launch. Afternoon: AI in clinical practice (mole-mapping and imaging demos) and a “My Journey to Medicine” lecture. Evening: South Bank & Thames walk and group dinner.
Day 3: Inside Modern Medicine
Morning clinic rotations across GP, urgent care, Trauma & Orthopaedics and ENT. Midday psychiatry teaching session. Afternoon simulation lab: BLS/CPR, suturing, history-taking and “What Makes a Good Doctor?” Evening: West End or cinema night.
Day 4: Global Health
Morning clinic: imaging & diagnostics (X-ray, ultrasound, ECG) plus a pharmacy session with the LIPS pharmacy team. Global health keynote and NHS vs Gulf systems workshop. LIPS international-patients panel and capstone sprint. Evening: Borough Market and group dinner.
Day 5: Innovation in Action
Morning tour of the new LIPS wellness centre: rehab gym, breast diagnostics, procedure rooms. Healthcare entrepreneurship session with the LIPS commercial team. Afternoon: LIPS research showcase and capstone sprint. Evening: team dinners and student-led movie night.
Day 6: Your Path in Medicine
“Specialty Speed Dating” morning across Cardiology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Orthopaedics, Women’s Health and Radiology. Midday UCAS, entrance exams and interview prep masterclass. Afternoon leadership workshop and capstone presentations to LIPS consultants. Evening: closing dinner and awards at Battersea Power Station.
Day 7: Your Journey Begins
Reflection, graduation and closing address from the LIPS founders. Post-programme reports issued. Farewell lunch, check-out and departures.

What will students actually do?
Before travel, students attend an online prep workshop with the Fraser's Medical team. On the ground, students take part in daily morning clinic time in small groups of 3–5, consultant shadowing with consented patients, consultant presentations, a full simulation lab (BLS/CPR, suturing, history-taking, communication), imaging and diagnostics exposure, AI in clinical practice, a week-long capstone project, UCAS and interview preparation, and a graduation with a personalised post-programme report.
Is it suitable for 15–18-year-olds?
Yes. The programme is designed for students aged 15–18 who are seriously considering medicine or healthcare careers and want meaningful clinical insight before university applications.
What is included?
Accommodation, meals, the full clinical programme, evening activities and in-London transport are included. Flights and visas are not included; families arrange their own travel.
How is my child kept safe in London?
The programme uses DBS-checked staff with students throughout the week, including daytime clinical sessions, supervised evenings and accommodation. The itinerary is structured and parents receive WhatsApp updates during the programme.
What are the dates and prices?
Cohort 1 runs Monday 14 – Sunday 20 December 2026. Cohort 2 runs Sunday 27 December 2026 – Saturday 2 January 2027. Early-bird is KD 2,250 for the first 10 paid places across both cohorts; full price is KD 2,500 thereafter.
Is this real work experience?
It is clinical immersion with real patient contact time where consent is obtained, consultant shadowing, simulated patient experiences and structured reflection: the kind of experience students can discuss meaningfully in applications and interviews.
What if we cannot make the December cohort?
The New Year cohort runs Sunday 27 December 2026 – Saturday 2 January 2027. Families who cannot attend the December cohort can register for the New Year cohort.
